As the Tampa Bay Buccaneers gear up for their upcoming divisional playoff clash with the Lions in Detroit, they are riding high on significant momentum following a decisive 32-9 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card round. The Bucs, led by quarterback Baker Mayfield, aim to bring an end to the season for the resurgent NFC North champions.
Mayfield, instrumental in the triumph over the Eagles, adopted a rallying cry with a spirited “woo” during and before the game—an homage to the distinctive call of former WWE superstar Ric Flair. The legendary wrestler, known as the Nature Boy, reciprocated Mayfield’s support by delivering his own hype message to the Buccaneers ahead of the pivotal divisional playoff.
Mayfield has been a standout performer throughout the season, showcasing his excellence in the game against the Eagles where he completed 22 of 36 passes for an impressive 337 yards, throwing three touchdown passes without an interception. With the Bucs lacking a dominant running game, the team looks to Mayfield to deliver a similar standout performance against the Lions.

While running back Rachaad White contributed 72 yards on 18 carries against Philadelphia, the passing game is expected to be the linchpin for Tampa Bay. Mayfield’s primary target is the dynamic Mike Evans, who amassed 1,255 yards and 13 touchdowns on 79 receptions during the regular season. Chris Godwin, with 83 receptions for 1,024 yards and two touchdowns, provides additional firepower to the Buccaneers’ receiving arsenal.
As they face the Lions in the upcoming playoff clash, the Bucs will rely on Mayfield’s prowess and the offensive capabilities of Evans and Godwin to secure victory and advance to the NFC Championship Game.
