Swindon Town sign Liverpool’s Paul Glatzel and Southampton’s Jack Bycroft in permanent moves…
The departure of the 22-year-old star from the Saints has been officially confirmed. Swindon Town has successfully secured permanent transfers for two players, namely Liverpool forward Paul Glatzel and Southampton goalkeeper Jack Bycroft.
Paul Glatzel, a product of Liverpool’s academy, played a crucial role in leading the team to Youth Cup success during the 2018–19 season, scoring an impressive 28 goals. Known for his prolific scoring abilities, Glatzel has represented both England and Germany at the youth level. His loan spells at Tranmere Rovers showcased his potential, with six goals in 21 appearances during the 2021–22 season.
Alongside Glatzel, Swindon Town have also finalized a permanent deal for Southampton goalkeeper Jack Bycroft. Turning professional with the Championship club in 2018, Bycroft has earned recognition for his loan performances, particularly at Taunton Town, where he made 48 appearances and kept 19 clean sheets.
His achievements secured him a spot in the Vanarama National League South team of the season. Bycroft, capped for England at the U19 level, aims to bring his experience to Swindon as he competes for the goalkeeper position.
