Lions’ Aidan Hutchinson dropped a classy message as he spoke out on the road cowboys matchup: ‘Gets me fired up’…

The Detroit Lions, having secured their first division title in 30 years during Week 16, now face a new challenge in Week 17 — ending the Dallas Cowboys’ impressive 15-game home winning streak. Defensive end Aidan Hutchinson expressed his excitement about the opportunity to be the team that takes down the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

The Cowboys, with a 7-0 home record in 2023, have been led by quarterback Dak Prescott’s stellar performance on home turf. Prescott boasts a 74% completion rate, 8.5 yards per attempt, and 20 touchdown passes in seven home games, compared to his road stats of 63.2% completion, 6.6 yards per pass, 10 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions in eight away games.

While the Lions face a tough task, Hutchinson believes the team is ready for the challenge, given their 6-2 record on the road, tied for the best in the NFC. The Lions have already secured victories at challenging road venues like Arrowhead, Lambeau Field, and the Superdome this season.

Hutchinson, emphasizing the team’s focus on larger goals, mentioned that winning the NFC North was a cool accomplishment, but the focus is now on preparing for the playoffs and taking on challenges like ending the Cowboys’ home streak.

Moreover, the Lions still have a shot at earning the NFC’s No. 1 seed for the playoffs. To achieve this, they must win their final two games, and the San Francisco 49ers need to lose once. The Lions’ final regular-season game is against the Minnesota Vikings, and the franchise has an opportunity to secure home-field advantage throughout the playoffs, a feat never achieved in their history.

The last time the Lions won 12 games in a season was in 1991, making the current season a historic one with the potential for unprecedented success.
