Kaoru Mitoma is expected to be absent from Brighton’s game against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, adding to the team’s selection challenges.
A number of key players, including Pervis Estupinan, Solly March, Danny Welbeck, James Milner, and Mo Dahoud, are likely to miss the upcoming match.
Additionally, striker Evan Ferguson is uncertain due to an injury suffered in the Republic of Ireland’s Euro 2024 qualifier against the Netherlands. Defender Lewis Dunk, who withdrew from the England squad, is another doubtful player for Saturday’s game.
Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi expressed his hope, before the international break, that several injured players, including Tariq Lamptey, Estupinan, and Dunk, would return to training. However, it seems the options available to him will be limited.
Currently placed eighth in the Premier League table, Brighton has faced a winless streak in their last six league matches.
Forest, coming off a 3-2 defeat against West Ham, aims to recover when they face Brighton at the City Ground this weekend.
