SAINTS manager Russell Martin is set for a one-match touchline ban after accumulating three bookings this season.
Saints visit Huddersfield Town after the international break, on Saturday, November 25, now sitting fourth in the Championship.
The boss was carded by referee Tom Nield in the second half of Southampton’s 2-1 win over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
The decision followed Charly Alcaraz’s booking for dissent, with Saints charges suggesting the official had missed a foul on Kyle Walker-Peters in the build-up.
In an attempt to crack down on the touchline behaviour of managers, coaches will receive a one-match ban for accumulating three yellow cards and a two-match ban for eight.
Martin was booked in the defeats at Gillingham – in the EFL Cup – and Middlesbrough, earlier in the season.
Martin’s long-term assistant Matt Gill is likely to take charge of the match, with Martin in the stands at John Smith’s Stadium.
