Duke basketball continues to add firepower to its roster as head coach Jon Scheyer officially confirmed the signing of another elite player to boost the team’s depth and talent. The latest addition is five-star forward Dwayne Aristode, a standout player from Brewster Academy, who has committed to joining the Blue Devils.
Aristode, a 6-foot-8, 215-pound forward, ranks No. 18 overall and No. 4 among small forwards in the 2025 class according to 247Sports Composite. Known for his versatility, length, and sharpshooting ability, Aristode will add significant value to Duke’s lineup as they aim to maintain their status as a top contender.
Duke landed Aristode after a competitive recruiting battle, with Arizona, Southern Cal, Michigan State, and NBL Next Stars also in his final five. After visiting each of these schools, Aristode ultimately decided that Duke was the best fit for his goals and style of play.
“I want to go somewhere that feels like home,” Aristode said about his decision. “I’m looking for a coach that lets me play my game, where I can contribute and still have fun. I want to win, and Duke gives me the best chance to do that—playing in a Final Four is one of my goals.”
Aristode’s commitment strengthens Duke’s already impressive recruiting class under Jon Scheyer, who continues to build on the program’s legacy of excellence. The Netherlands native brings a winning mentality and an eagerness to make an immediate impact, further bolstering the Blue Devils’ championship aspirations.
