Sad News: Head Coach Brian Kelly Face Major Setback as He Confirmed LSU Football’s Linebacker Out with a Disheartening Injury…

LSU football suffered a significant blow as head coach Brian Kelly confirmed that star linebacker Harold Perkins will miss the remainder of the season due to a devastating ACL injury. The injury occurred during LSU’s 34-17 victory over UCLA last Saturday, according to ESPN.

Perkins sustained the injury while making a tackle in the fourth quarter, and further tests revealed the severity of the damage. The talented linebacker had already made a notable impact this season, recording 17 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and a fumble recovery in just four games.

As a true freshman in 2022, Perkins made headlines with seven sacks and 13.5 tackles for loss, quickly establishing himself as a key player for LSU. Over his career, he amassed 147 tackles in 21 starts, making him one of the team’s most dependable defenders.

Born in New Orleans and raised in Cypress, Texas, Perkins was a highly touted recruit for Cypress Park High School. His family had been displaced by Hurricane Katrina shortly after his birth, adding to the adversity he has faced throughout his journey.

LSU will now look to adjust their defensive strategy as they prepare to host South Alabama this Saturday in Baton Rouge, missing one of their most promising young stars.
