After the 2021-2022 season, Walker signed a one-year, $6 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. In that season, he had his most efficient shooting performance, averaging 11.7 points per game. Following his time with the Lakers, Walker joined the Nets on a one-year, $2 million deal.
