Auburn football continues its impressive recruiting streak with the latest addition of 4-star defensive lineman Nate Marshall, who has flipped his commitment from Michigan.
Marshall, a top-100 prospect hailing from Oak Park, Illinois, initially committed to Michigan on April 22. However, Auburn, led by defensive line coach Vontrell King-Williams, remained persistent in their pursuit of the talented player.
The breakthrough for Auburn came after Marshall’s official visit to the campus in June. Two months later, that visit proved pivotal, with the Tigers successfully securing Marshall’s commitment under head coach Hugh Freeze.
Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 265 pounds, Marshall is ranked as the No. 46 overall player in the class of 2025, according to 247Sports composite rankings. He’s also considered the sixth-best defensive lineman in the nation.
With this commitment, Auburn now boasts 23 total commitments for their 2025 class, with Marshall being the third-highest ranked among them. Auburn’s 2025 recruiting class is currently ranked No. 5 nationally.
