Breaking News: Charlotte Hornets Have Finally Reached a Mutual Agreement with 33-year-old Veteran Star to Bolster Charles Lee’s Roster…

In a move that underscores their commitment to building a competitive team, the Charlotte Hornets have reached a mutual agreement with 33-year-old veteran Seth Curry, who was waived earlier in the offseason but has now re-signed with the team.

The Hornets have shown a strong affinity for former Dallas Mavericks players. At last season’s trade deadline, they traded P.J. Washington to the Mavericks in exchange for Charlotte natives Grant Williams and Seth Curry. Although Curry was waived in the offseason, there was always hope he would return to Charlotte, which has now come to fruition as the Hornets have announced his re-signing on a one-year deal. While the terms of the new contract have not been disclosed, it is likely a minimum contract given his previous $4 million deal.

As a young team, the Hornets greatly benefit from Curry’s veteran experience in the locker room. Last season, the team struggled with a 21-61 record, missing the playoffs for the eighth consecutive year. However, with promising young talents like LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller, Charlotte is optimistic about realizing its potential soon.

Curry is not the only former Maverick now on the Hornets roster. He joins Grant Williams and Josh Green, the latter acquired in a sign-and-trade that facilitated the Dallas Mavericks’ signing of Klay Thompson from the Golden State Warriors. The Hornets also had Davis Bertans after a trade with Oklahoma City last season but opted to waive his partially guaranteed deal this offseason.

The addition of Curry is expected to provide much-needed experience and stability as the Hornets look to improve and end their playoff drought.
