Penguins’ Dubas Joins 4 Nations Face-Off, Olympic Management
Team Canada has announced the addition of Pittsburgh Penguins president of hockey operations and general manager Kyle Dubas to the management team for the 4 Nations Face-Off next year and the men’s Olympic team. The announcement was made by Hockey Canada on Tuesday.
Dubas, who served as associate GM at the World Championship a couple of months ago, will now take on the role of director of player personnel at the 4 Nations Face-Off. This tournament, scheduled for February in Montreal and Boston, will feature teams from the United States, Canada, Sweden, and Finland.
Full rosters for the 4 Nations Face-Off teams will be revealed between November 29 and December 2.
Following the 4 Nations Face-Off, Dubas will retain the same title with the 2026 Canadian Olympic squad.
In the same announcement, Tampa Bay vice president of hockey operations and general manager Julien BriseBois was named assistant manager for Canada’s 4 Nations Face-Off team and assistant GM for the 2026 Olympics. This will be BriseBois’s managerial debut on the international stage.
“Julien and Kyle are accomplished NHL general managers, and I am excited to welcome them to our management group for both the 4 Nations Face-Off and the Olympics. I believe they will be strong assets to a well-rounded management team,” Doug Armstrong, GM for Canada’s 4 Nations Face-Off team, said in a statement.
“Both Julien and Kyle have enjoyed long and successful careers, and we believe their experience and knowledge of NHL players will be a great addition to our staff as we continue to evaluate Canadian players and build rosters for international competition.”
