Big-time Tennessee target Travis Smith has been winding down his recruiting process over the last couple of months, and he’s set to make a decision on Saturday. The four-star wide receiver will choose between SEC powerhouses Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and Auburn.

Notably, Tennessee recently received a crystal ball projection from On3’s Steve Wiltfong, making them the projected favorite over Georgia, according to 247Sports.

Smith is the 111th ranked player in the 2025 class, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. The Atlanta product stands at 6’1″ and 191 pounds and is the 16th ranked receiver prospect in the country. He is the 14th ranked prospect in Georgia, a state known for its loaded football talent.

Smith recently completed official visits to each of his four finalists, seeing Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, and Tennessee over four weeks. The Volunteers made their final impression on June 21st, marking his fourth reported visit to Knoxville. Smith also visited Tennessee last fall for the Georgia and Texas A&M games.

Tennessee currently holds two wide receiver commitments in their 2025 class: four-star Radarius Jackson and three-star Joakim Dodson. The Volunteers rank 15th in the 2025 class rankings, according to 247Sports. Landing Smith would provide a significant boost.
