Kevin Love Re-Signs With Miami Heat On 2-Year, $8 Million-Plus Deal
Kevin Love is making his return to South Beach! The Miami Heat and the veteran star have agreed on a two-year contract, bringing the 35-year-old back to the 305, according to a Sunday report by Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium.
The contract, worth over $8 million, does not include any options. Over the weekend, Love declined his $4 million player option, but both he and the Miami Heat were determined to finalize a new deal — and they succeeded.
In the 2023-24 season, Love averaged 8.8 points per game and 6.1 rebounds per game in 55 games for the Heat, shooting 34.4% from three-point range. Love turns 36 in September.
In his 16 NBA seasons, Love has won a championship ring in 2016, been named an All-Star five times, and made the All-NBA Second Team twice. He has played for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Heat, whom he helped reach the NBA Finals in 2023.

“I’m happy to have Kevin Love back on the Miami Heat. He was productive for us last season and got along well with the roster,” said a source close to the team.
However, concerns about the luxury tax remain. “Let’s see if Pat Riley can work his magic, but I won’t hold my breath judging by the last few offseasons,” the source added.
