Tylor Perry has taken a significant step towards his professional basketball career by signing an Exhibit-10 deal with the Toronto Raptors on Thursday night, June 27.
Perry will join the Raptors’ Summer League team, competing in the NBA 2K25 Summer League in Las Vegas from July 12-22. The Raptors are set to play four games, starting Saturday, July 13 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, followed by games on Sunday, July 14 against the Denver Nuggets, Wednesday, July 17 against the Utah Jazz, and Friday, July 19 against the Miami Heat. The championship rounds will take place from Saturday to Monday, July 20-22.
Standing at 5-foot-11 and weighing 180 pounds, Perry hails from Fort Coffee, Oklahoma. He spent his final college season at K-State, earning All-Big 12 Honorable Mention honors after leading the Wildcats in several categories, including scoring (519 points), 3-point field goals made (93), free throws (160), assists (148), and minutes played (2,238). Perry started all 34 games, scoring in double figures in 24 games with 11 performances of 20 points or more. For the season, he averaged a team-best 15.3 points, along with 3.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 36.4 minutes per game.
Perry’s college career saw him score nearly 2,500 points (2,490) across stints at Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College (2019-21), North Texas (2021-23), and K-State (2023-24). He posted double figures in 81 of his 101 career games at the Division I level, including 30 games with 20 points or more and one 30-point performance. His teams achieved a combined 128-40 (.762) record, including four 20-win seasons, an NJCAA National Championship (2021), an NIT Championship (2023), and two conference titles (2021 KJCCC, 2022 C-USA).
Perry’s accolades include 2023 NIT Most Outstanding Player, 2023 C-USA Player of the Year, 2022 C-USA Sixth Man of the Year, two-time First Team All-C-USA selection, and 2021 NJCAA National Tournament MVP and NJCAA Second Team All-America honors.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, minimum salary NBA deal with a specific Exhibit 10 attachment. This attachment allows the NBA team to convert a player’s one-year contract into a two-way contract before the start of the regular season. These contracts are often non-guaranteed, enabling NBA teams to waive the player and remove their cap hit from the team payroll.
Perry’s signing provides a potential solution for the Raptors as they look to fill the void left by the departure of Linus Ullmark. The team is hopeful that Perry’s impressive college career and strong work ethic will translate into success at the professional level.
