Johnson began the 2023 season with Bradenton before being promoted to High-A Greensboro in early August. His .244/.422/.438 split with 18 homers showcased his potential, even though he faced challenges like high strikeout rates and recovery from his injury.
This year, Johnson started in Greensboro and experienced early struggles, including a high strikeout rate and lack of raw power at the plate. However, June has seen improved performance, with his batting average reaching .216/.379/.358 and a decrease in strikeouts.
