Cincinnati is hoping to win their fourth-straight game..
The Bengals are hoping to win their fourth-straight game this week when they host the Bills on Sunday Night Football.
Cincinnati beat Buffalo 27-10 in their divisional playoff matchup in January. Not only did they win on the road, but they were dominant in the snow.
Former Bills receiver Isaiah McKenzie said the weather had a lot to do with the outcome.
“The Bengals ran basic routes, maybe we should’ve did that, ran basic routes,” McKenzie said in May. “Like out routes, go balls, you know, instead of running routes that you have to be going lateral or coming back to the football, or turning and running curls and things like that. If we were in a dome it would have been a totally different game.”
Even though McKenzie isn’t on the team anymore, both Ja’Marr Chase and Tyler Boyd were asked about the comments ahead of Sunday’s matchup.
“A couple of players was saying that if it wasn’t snowing that they would’ve beat us,” Boyd said on Thursday.. “We here now. We gonna see what the outcome is.”
“It’s something crazy to say,” Chase said. “It don’t fire me up. It’s their opinion. We still won at the end of the day.”
The good news is there isn’t any precipitation in Sunday’s forecast and even if there was, it wouldn’t be snow.
“It’s harder to play in snow. It was fun. Loved it,” Chase said with a smile. “Don’t wanna play in it again though.”
