Miami Emerges as Top Contender for Coveted DL Floyd Boucard After Official Visit!
The Miami Hurricanes have taken a significant step forward in their pursuit of highly-touted defensive lineman Floyd Boucard following his recent official visit.
Floyd Boucard, a standout defensive lineman from Miami (Fla.) Central, has kicked off a busy summer filled with official college visits. Although the Hurricanes are geographically close to him, Boucard is not originally from Dade County. Nonetheless, Miami is determined to keep this talented interior defender close to home, and they made notable progress over the weekend.
“This weekend was amazing. My first official visit ever. I didn’t know what to expect, but it surpassed my expectations,” Boucard shared. “I had fun. We toured the facility, went boat riding, and even visited Coach Cristobal’s house. It was just amazing—the food, the people. They showed a lot of love to my family. That’s what I like—hospitality. They were doing things for my family, and they were happy. If they’re happy, I’m happy. I had fun.”
Miami’s strong hospitality and genuine effort to make Boucard and his family feel welcome have significantly bolstered their chances of securing his commitment.
