Breaking: Bulldogs’ Head Coach Kirby Smart Makes a Shocking Statment Amid the  $13.85 million Trade…

Kirby Smart Reveals His Thoughts on Jaden Rashada’s Lawsuit Against Billy Napier

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart addressed the media as SEC leaders convened in Destin, FL, for the SEC spring meetings. Among the topics discussed was the lawsuit filed by Georgia quarterback Jaden Rashada against Florida head coach Billy Napier and other Florida boosters.

Rashada claims he was promised $13.85 million to sign with the Gators out of high school. Although he initially signed with Florida, he never enrolled and later transferred to Arizona State before making his way to Georgia this offseason. Smart mentioned he was informed of the lawsuit a day before it was filed.

Smart made it clear that Georgia is not involved in the lawsuit and emphasized that the Bulldogs are focusing on their preparations for summer workouts.

“I told him that would be between him and his family and his attorneys,” Smart said via The Athletic. “Not really for me to get involved in; Georgia’s not involved in it in any way… It’s a sign of the times, possibly. I don’t get really caught up in that. I worry about my little bubble at Georgia. That’s outside the bubble for me.”

Rashada is expected to compete for the backup quarterback position behind starter Carson Beck. Last year, he played in three games for the Sun Devils, throwing for 485 yards, four touchdowns, and three interceptions while completing 53.7% of his passes.

Georgia aims to secure their third CFP national championship in four seasons. Despite losing the SEC Championship game to Alabama last season, the Bulldogs bounced back with a dominant victory over Florida State in the Orange Bowl.

The Bulldogs will kick off the 2024 season against Clemson at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
