Latest Raiders Update: Bold Move on Maxx Crosby’s Contract
The Las Vegas Raiders have faced a challenging few seasons, making the playoffs only once in the past decade. As the team navigates a rebuilding phase, they’ve struggled with consistency, impacting their postseason prospects.
Despite these hurdles, the Raiders boast a few standout players, notably superstar defensive end Maxx Crosby. Renowned as one of the league’s top defensive talents, Crosby remains dedicated to the team amid their struggles.

According to Adam Schefter, the Raiders have recognized Crosby’s elite performances with a $6 million raise for the 2024 season. This financial boost aims to further motivate Crosby and encourage his teammates to elevate their game. The hope is that by following Crosby’s lead, the Raiders can see significant improvements on the defensive front.
However, the offense tells a different story. The team had plans to draft a quarterback but were thwarted by a historic run on QBs within the top 12 picks. As a result, the starting quarterback position will see a competition between Gardner Minshew and Aidan O’Connell.
The lack of a clear starting QB could spell trouble for the Raiders’ offensive performance this season unless one of these players can decisively claim the role.
