Twins Dominate Logan Gilbert as Seattle Mariners Suffer 11-1 Loss!
MINNEAPOLIS – The Minnesota Twins kicked off the game with a bang, as Manny Margot’s three-run double off Seattle’s Logan Gilbert set the tone for a commanding 11-1 victory over the Mariners on Thursday afternoon, securing their fifth consecutive series win.
Pablo López (4-2) took charge on the mound, tallying a season-high 10 strikeouts and pitching into the seventh inning to secure his third straight win. The Twins’ offense was firing on all cylinders, with Ryan Jeffers and Max Kepler both delivering home runs and driving in two runs each. Jose Miranda contributed three runs on two hits, while Margot matched his career high with five RBIs. The Twins (22-15) continued their impressive form, securing their 15th win in their last 17 games.

Despite the anticipation surrounding the matchup between two top American League pitchers, Gilbert (3-1) struggled from the outset, issuing a leadoff walk and allowing five hits in the first inning alone.
The Twins capitalized on their opportunities, benefiting from both fortunate bounces and hard-hit balls throughout the game. Jeffers’ 104 mph drive over the left-center field wall epitomized their offensive prowess.
Gilbert’s outing unraveled further as he failed to make it through the sixth inning for the first time this season, conceding eight runs on nine hits and two walks. López, on the other hand, delivered a stellar performance, allowing just one run on four hits without issuing a walk.
The Twins’ lineup showcased their depth and resilience, with players stepping up in the absence of key figures such as Royce Lewis and Byron Buxton. Kepler extended his hitting streak to 11 games, while Jeffers continued his impressive form with his eighth home run of the season.
Meanwhile, the Mariners struggled at the plate, recording a Twins-record 53 strikeouts over the four-game series. Key players like Cal Raleigh and Julio Rodriguez faced difficulties against López’s pitching, highlighting the Mariners’ need to regroup and perform better moving forward.
