Exciting News: Duke Basketball Completes Top-Ranked Recruiting Class!
In a stunning development, Duke basketball has finalized its highly anticipated recruiting class with the signing of its last prospect.
The Blue Devils’ recruiting coup is now official, solidifying what many experts deem as the top class in the nation. This momentous occasion occurred Wednesday morning as Duke received the signed paperwork from 5-star center Khaman Maluach.
Maluach’s commitment to Duke back in early March was met with fervent anticipation, as the product of the NBA Academy Africa swiftly ascended to Top-10 status in his class upon declaring his intention to join the 2024 cohort of prospects.

Despite his limited playing time of just 14 minutes at the 2024 Nike Hoop Summit, where he tallied two points on 1-of-6 shooting, Maluach’s physical attributes are nothing short of impressive. With a towering 9-foot-6 standing reach and a wingspan stretching 7-foot-8, his potential has NBA scouts buzzing, projecting him as a potential Top-3 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

Joining Maluach in Durham next season will be a stellar cast of recruits, headlined by the top-ranked prospect in the nation, Cooper Flagg, alongside Isaiah Evans, Kon Knueppel, Patrick Ngongba II, and Darren Harris.
Maluach’s accolades extend beyond the collegiate level, as he was named Most Valuable Player at the NBA’s Basketball Without Borders (BWB) Africa camp last summer and earned recognition as the playoff and defensive MVP at the Basketball Without Borders Global camp in February. Additionally, he has proudly represented the South Sudan men’s national team on the international stage.
