Ravens Secure Key Addition with Deonte Harty’s Homecoming!
The Baltimore Ravens have made a significant addition to their roster by signing 26-year-old receiver/return specialist Deonte Harty, marking a return to his roots in his hometown.
Last offseason, Harty joined the Buffalo Bills on a two-year contract, but his first season with the team was relatively quiet, prompting the Bills to part ways with him last month.
Now, a little over a month into the new league year, Harty has found a new NFL home with the Baltimore Ravens, fulfilling a homecoming dream to play for his hometown team.

Harty’s signing with the Bills had generated considerable excitement, given his reputation as a versatile player capable of making an impact both on offense and special teams. While expectations were high for his role within the Bills’ lineup, Harty found himself in a limited capacity, akin to receiver Isaiah McKenzie.
However, Harty’s highlight moment came in Week 18 against the Miami Dolphins, when he returned a punt 96 yards for a touchdown, igniting the Bills to victory and securing their fourth-straight AFC East Division title. This standout performance earned Harty recognition as the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week and a $250,000 bonus for his exceptional punt return average.
During his tenure with the Bills, Harty showcased his skills in 16 games, making one start, and recording 15 receptions for 150 yards and one touchdown. In the postseason, he contributed with two receptions for 37 yards in two appearances.

Now, as Harty returns to his hometown team, the Ravens anticipate his contributions to complement the talents of star quarterback Lamar Jackson, adding depth and versatility to their roster.
