QPR keen on summer swoop for experienced defender…

QPR Express Interest in Seasoned Defender for Summer Move!

Reports from Dan Marsh indicate that a cluster of Football League clubs, including Blackpool, Leyton Orient, QPR, and Reading, have set their sights on securing the services of Chippenham Town’s proficient defender, Dan Ellison.

The quartet from the Football League are closely monitoring the progress of the highly-regarded non-league talent, anticipating a potential move during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Dan Ellison, aged 18, has been identified as a promising prospect within the sport, impressing spectators with his performances in the National League South throughout this season.

As reported by The Mirror’s Marsh, teams from higher tiers of football are actively pursuing Ellison, with Blackpool, Leyton Orient, QPR, and Reading emerging as potential suitors for the talented youngster.

Having secured a new contract with Chippenham last year, Ellison remains tied to the sixth-tier club for the foreseeable future. Despite initially being dual-registered with Westbury United earlier in the season to gain valuable experience, he has since cemented his place in Chippenham’s first team.

With 26 appearances across all competitions this campaign, Ellison has notably contributed four goals from his defensive position.

Both Blackpool and Leyton Orient find themselves in contention for the League One playoffs, with the former trailing the top six by three points and the latter by five, with seven fixtures remaining in the season. Both clubs view Ellison as a potential asset to reinforce their defensive lines.

However, Championship outfit QPR has also expressed interest in acquiring Ellison’s services. Currently embroiled in a relegation battle, QPR sees the young defender as a potential reinforcement in their quest to secure their position in the division.

Reading, although interested, faces challenges due to an existing embargo affecting their ability to conduct transfer business effectively. Nonetheless, their interest underscores Ellison’s growing reputation within football circles.

As the summer transfer window approaches, Ellison’s future remains a subject of considerable interest among clubs across different tiers of English football, with QPR emerging as a particularly keen suitor in his pursuit.
