The LA Clippers are set to play the Chicago Bulls, but key players Kawhi Leonard and James Harden are nursing injuries.
As the Clippers embark on a brief road trip, their first stop being against the Bulls, attention is on the health of Leonard and Harden.
Both Leonard and Harden are officially listed as questionable for Thursday’s game due to respective thoracic spasms and a left shoulder strain.
James Harden, who is dealing with a shoulder/back injury the last few games, was having it tended to after the game. I asked him if he may need to take a game or two off:

Leonard’s injury became apparent during the game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he left during the second quarter due to back spasms. Coach Tyronn Lue revealed that Leonard had been dealing with this issue prior to the game.
Although Leonard is traveling with the team for the back-to-back games, it’s uncertain whether he’ll play in both, especially considering their tight standings and upcoming crucial match against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Harden, on the other hand, has been playing through a shoulder problem for several games. Despite being a consistent presence on the court this season, there’s a growing concern about his workload and the need for rest to avoid further strain.
Coach Lue emphasized the importance of managing Harden’s minutes and workload to preserve his fitness. Harden himself expressed his desire to keep playing but acknowledged the necessity of monitoring his shoulder’s condition on a game-to-game basis.
Updates on both players’ availability will be provided closer to tip-off time for Thursday’s game against the Bulls.
