Texans have secured the services of tight end Dalton Schultz for an extended period.
Dalton Schultz has agreed to continue playing for the Houston Texans, as reported by NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.
Sources reveal that the Texans have reached an agreement with Dalton Schultz to renew his contract, securing his presence in Houston for the next three years. The new deal amounts to $36 million, with $23.5 million guaranteed upon signing. Schultz, recognized as a vital asset for quarterback CJ Stroud, showcased his prowess last season by amassing 59 receptions for 635 yards and five touchdowns.
As Schultz commits to the Texans for the foreseeable future, attention now turns to bolstering the running back position. Speculations tie the team to potential acquisitions such as New York Giants’ Saquon Barkley and free agent Devin Singletary, who currently plays for the Texans.
