In a blockbuster move that has sent shockwaves through Major League Baseball, the Houston Astros have officially acquired Miles Mikolas, the veteran right-hander with a $91 million contract, in a trade deadline stunner aimed at bolstering their starting rotation for the stretch run.
The deal, finalized Tuesday afternoon, brings the St. Louis Cardinals ace to Houston in exchange for a package that includes a top Astros pitching prospect and a pair of promising minor leaguers.
