In a major development out of Broncos camp, Bo Nix has officially signed his rookie contract with the Denver Broncos, sending a powerful message to the franchise, the locker room, and the rest of the NFL: he’s locked in and ready to compete.
The deal, confirmed Saturday morning, is reportedly a fully guaranteed four-year contract worth $18.6 million, with a fifth-year team option — standard for a first-round draft pick. But what’s turning heads is how Nix handled the process.
Rather than delay negotiations or leave any questions about his commitment, the former Oregon and Auburn star pushed to get the deal done early, making it clear to the organization that he’s ready to take ownership of the playbook, the locker room, and the future of the franchise.
Team sources described the move as a “big statement” from the 24-year-old quarterback, who has already impressed coaches with his poise, maturity, and leadership during early offseason activities.
“He’s all business,” one team insider said. “Bo came in and wanted to make sure nothing distracted him from football. No drama, no delay — just ball.”
Selected 12th overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, Nix enters a wide-open quarterback room in Denver following an underwhelming 2024 campaign. While veteran signal-callers remain on the roster, the Broncos view Nix as the future — and potentially the present — if he can seize the job during training camp.
Nix himself took to social media after signing the deal:
“Let’s work. Grateful. Locked in. Ready to earn it every day. #GoBroncos”
The former Heisman finalist brings experience, accuracy, and underrated mobility to a Denver offense in need of stability. He threw for over 4,500 yards and 45 touchdowns last season at Oregon and is viewed as one of the most game-ready quarterbacks in the class.
With the ink dry and no distractions ahead, Bo Nix has officially put the league on notice — and the Broncos on alert: he’s not here to wait his turn.
Training camp can’t come soon enough.
