Denver Broncos general manager George Paton has delivered a shocking update regarding the team’s pursuit of key signings, confirming that the Buffalo Bills have successfully secured top targets the Broncos were aiming for in free agency. The news comes as a major setback for Denver, which was aggressively looking to bolster its roster with high-impact additions.
“This is a tough one for us,” Paton admitted. “We were in the mix for a few key players, but ultimately, the Bills made strong offers, and they chose to go in that direction. It’s part of the business, but it’s definitely frustrating.”
The Broncos had reportedly been eyeing several key free agents to fill crucial gaps, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. However, Buffalo’s ability to outmaneuver Denver in negotiations has left the front office scrambling for alternative options. The setback is particularly frustrating as the team looks to rebound from a disappointing season and build a competitive roster for the upcoming campaign.
Despite the setback, Paton assured fans that the Broncos are still actively working on other deals. “We have contingency plans, and we’re confident in the direction we’re going. The offseason is far from over,” he said.
With the Bills strengthening their squad and Denver missing out on prime targets, the pressure is now on Paton and his staff to regroup and make impactful moves before the season kicks off.
