The Pittsburgh Steelers have officially announced the re-signing of Jonathan Ward to their practice squad, just two days after his release from the 53-man roster. Ward, known for his speed and veteran presence, originally joined the Steelers after impressing at a rookie minicamp tryout. Despite a hamstring injury during training camp, he made the practice squad thanks to his performance.
Ward has appeared in four games this season, primarily contributing on special teams rather than as a running back. As a versatile depth piece, he remains the top backup behind the team’s primary running backs. If injuries occur, Ward is likely to be elevated to the active roster to provide crucial support, both in the backfield and on special teams.
