Breaking News: Texans Veteran 30 year old Superstar. NFL Suspended him due to substances and not ……

The Houston Texans continued their impressive season, improving to a 5-1 record with a commanding 41-21 victory over the New England Patriots on Sunday. Despite allowing rookie Patriots quarterback Drake Maye to notch his first three NFL touchdowns, Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans’ defense was relentless. The Texans’ defense forced four turnovers—two interceptions and two fumble recoveries—and sacked Maye four times for a total loss of 34 yards. However, the team’s top-tier defense was dealt an unexpected setback on Monday.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that veteran defensive end Mario Edwards Jr. has been suspended following his standout Week 6 performance.

“Mario Edwards Jr. of the Houston Texans is suspended four games without pay for violating the NFL’s Substances of Abuse Policy,” Rapoport posted on X. “He will be eligible for reinstatement on November 11, following the Texans’ Week 10 matchup against the Detroit Lions.”

Edwards, who is in his 10th NFL season and playing for his seventh team, delivered a season-best performance against New England, recording eight tackles, a fumble recovery, a pass deflection, and a quarterback hit. Originally drafted by the then-Oakland Raiders in the second round of the 2015 draft, the 30-year-old veteran will now miss four games as a result of the suspension, a significant loss for the Texans’ defense.
