The Atlanta Braves have made significant changes to manager Brian Snitker’s coaching staff following their early exit from the NL Wild Card Series. In a major shake-up, the team has officially announced the release of three experienced coaches: hitting coach Kevin Seitzer, assistant hitting coach Bobby Magallanes, and catching coach Sal Fasano.
These moves come after a challenging season marred by injuries, which ultimately ended with the Braves being swept by the San Diego Padres in two games. The Braves, who had high expectations after their 2021 World Series win and six consecutive NL East titles, finished second in the division and fell short of their playoff aspirations.
Kevin Seitzer, who had been with the team for a decade, played a key role in the Braves’ offensive success during his tenure, including their championship run. However, the disappointing end to the season has prompted the Braves to part ways with Seitzer and his fellow coaches in an effort to reset for the 2025 campaign.
“These decisions are never easy, especially with coaches who have been instrumental in our success,” said Snitker. “But sometimes, change is necessary to move forward.”
The Braves now face the task of rebuilding their coaching staff as they prepare for the next season, hoping to bounce back stronger and regain their position as one of baseball’s elite teams.
