Ottawa Senators have officially reached a mutual agreement with the Boston Bruins to acquire 23-year-old rising star defenseman. This exciting move is aimed at bolstering head coach Travis Green’s squad, as the Senators look to enhance their defensive depth for the upcoming season.
Lohrei, a highly touted young defenseman, has been on the radar of many teams due to his impressive size, skill, and hockey IQ. Known for his ability to transition the puck and contribute offensively from the blue line, Lohrei brings a dynamic presence to Ottawa’s defense that will complement their existing core.
“We’re very excited to bring Mason aboard,” said Senators GM Pierre Dorion. “He’s a young, talented player with enormous potential, and we believe he can play a significant role for us moving forward. His ability to impact the game on both ends of the ice will be a valuable addition to our team.”
Lohrei, who has steadily developed through his time with the Bruins organization, is expected to be a key player in the Senators’ lineup. His combination of physicality, skating ability, and offensive upside gives the team another weapon as they aim to improve their playoff prospects.
With Lohrei now part of the roster, Travis Green will have a talented young defenseman to help lead the Senators’ defense as they strive for greater success in the seasons ahead.
