Breaking: Hugh Freeze Drops Truth Bomb as Auburn Football Trashed for Social Media Team’s Gravely Unfortunate Mistake…

Auburn University’s football program is facing backlash after its social media team made a glaring mistake, unintentionally retweeting pro-Alabama content. The mishap, which was quickly undone but not before it spread online, drew attention from fans and media alike. In a piece for OutKick, Mark Harris highlighted the unfortunate blunder in his article titled, “Auburn Football Shares Pro-Alabama Post On Social Media As Program Continues To Take L’s.”

The post in question involved former Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett, who lost a bet to his Los Angeles Rams teammate, Alabama alum Miller Forristall, after Alabama’s thrilling 41-34 victory over Georgia in Week 5. As a result, Bennett had to wear an Alabama hat in the Rams’ facility, and a well-known Alabama account shared the image on social media. Shockingly, the Auburn football Twitter account accidentally retweeted the image, briefly displaying Crimson Tide propaganda on their feed.

Though the post was quickly deleted, screenshots were captured, and the damage was done. Harris pointed out the ill timing of the mistake, writing, “Mistakes happen, but my goodness, this is a big one that could not have possibly come at a worse time for Auburn football and Tiger fans.”

The timing of the gaffe was particularly unfortunate, as Auburn football has been struggling on the field under head coach Hugh Freeze, who has yet to turn the team’s fortunes around. Harris noted the ongoing challenges for Auburn, saying, “When it rains, it pours on the Plains.” The team has faced a series of on-field mishaps, and now this social media blunder adds fuel to the fire for frustrated fans.

Whether the mistake was an innocent error or not, the narrative surrounding Auburn’s struggles continues to grow, and many believe that only victories on the field will quiet the critics. Unfortunately for the Tigers, wins may be hard to come by in 2024.
