Sad News: Head Coach Mike Tomlin Peovides Disheartening Updaes as He Confirmed Key Pittsburgh Steelers starter Out of the Starting Roster Due to…

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin provided a disheartening update regarding running back Jaylen Warren, who is not expected to play in the upcoming game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Sources from PennLive confirmed that Warren, who suffered a knee injury during the matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, has been unable to practice so far this week.

While the Steelers could try to push Warren back into action, the general feeling within the team is that it would be wiser to let him rest and recover fully. An MRI taken earlier in the week did not reveal any significant long-term damage, but the injury is still affecting Warren’s ability to perform at his best. His explosiveness, which has been a key part of his game, has noticeably been lacking during the early part of the season.

In Warren’s absence, more responsibility will fall on veteran Cordarrelle Patterson, with the Steelers potentially elevating practice squad players Jonathan Ward or Aaron Shampklin for additional depth. Najee Harris will start and handle the majority of the carries, especially against a Colts run defense that has struggled so far this season.

Tomlin and the Steelers hope that Warren can make a full recovery soon, but for now, the team will have to adjust without their dynamic running back.
