Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak recently attended the NHL’s European tour in mid-August, as reported by Michael Russo of The Athletic. After a busy summer that included rigorous gym sessions and his wedding to longtime girlfriend Rebecca Rohlsson, Pastrnak shared his excitement about the Bruins’ recent offseason moves during an interview with Russo. The franchise is gearing up for a deep playoff push next season.
Pastrnak highlighted the addition of big defenseman Nikita Zadorov, saying, “I can’t wait to see him lay out some big hits this season. He seems like a perfect fit for the Bruins.” He also praised Elias Lindholm, a skilled two-way centerman, noting, “Elias is a very good two-way centerman, which obviously the Bruins have had some pretty good ones. He scored 40 goals in a season before, so we know he can put the puck in the net.”
Pastrnak himself had a stellar 2023–24 season, tallying 47 goals and 63 assists. As he prepares to share the ice with former Vancouver Canucks players Zadorov and Lindholm, Pastrnak reflected on his evolution as a player. Initially known as more of a playmaker, he has emerged as one of the NHL’s top goal-scorers in recent years. “My transition to being a goal scorer was surprising at first,” Pastrnak admitted. “I’m very grateful. It’s hard to score in this league, so I don’t take it for granted. Last year, I was more of a playmaker and shot way less than previous years, but that was just the way our team was built last year.”
With these new additions, the Bruins are poised to strengthen their roster and make a significant impact in the upcoming season.
