His performance was even more impressive in his five starts, where he increased his output to 14.0 points and 8.6 rebounds in 29.3 minutes per game. Additionally, Green contributed significantly during his time with the Santa Cruz Warriors in the G League, averaging 12.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.3 steals across 10 games.
Before joining the NBA, Green had a standout college career at Radford University, where he averaged 14.4 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 1.8 steals, and 0.7 blocks over 133 games (122 starts). His professional journey has seen him play pivotal roles in both the regular season and postseason, including stints with the Boston Celtics in 2020 and the Bulls in 2022.

At 31, Green is now one of the more experienced players on a relatively young Pelicans roster, joining veterans like CJ McCollum and Daniel Theis. Over his 195-game NBA career, Green has averaged 5.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 0.7 assists, while shooting a solid 34.5% from three-point range.
Though slightly undersized for a wing at 6’5″, Green compensates with his tenacity on defense, often disrupting opponents with his strong steal and block rates. His presence helps fill the void left by Naji Marshall, who recently joined the Dallas Mavericks.
