Breaking: MLB Expert Believes This is the Minnesota Twins Greatest Asset, Come October…

The Minnesota Twins, one of the top teams in baseball, continue to make moves as they chase the Cleveland Guardians in the AL Central Division. As the postseason approaches, one aspect of Rocco Baldelli’s squad stands out as their greatest asset.

Rocco Baldelli’s Power-Packed Lineup

This year’s Minnesota Twins might not be a replica of the 2019 Bomba Squad, but they still pack a punch. While MLB has dialed back on the liveliness of the baseball, Baldelli’s team remains a top-10 home run powerhouse, with a lineup that offers no easy outs. ESPN’s David Schoenfield highlights the depth of this roster as its biggest strength.

“Health is the key. Right now, Royce Lewis is active, but Byron Buxton and Carlos Correa are on the IL. Those three have started in the same game just 19 times this season. In the meantime, the Twins have gotten some surprising performances to keep the offense stable, particularly from Jose Miranda (.304 average, .832 OPS) and, lately, Matt Wallner (.946 OPS in 139 plate appearances, although that seems unsustainable with a 38% strikeout rate),” Schoenfield noted.

With a mix of power, depth, and surprising performances from unexpected players, the Twins are positioning themselves as a formidable force in the postseason, bolstered by their greatest asset—their lineup’s depth.
