Noles’ ‘Standout’ Freshman ‘ Goes Viral with His First Comment to HC Mike Norvell as He Primed To Make An Impact’ During 2024 Season…

Florida State Seminoles head coach Mike Norvell has high hopes for true freshman running back Kam Davis as the 2024 season approaches. Davis, only 18 years old, arrived in Tallahassee ready to make an impact on the field, and his early performance in training camp suggests he’s more than prepared for the challenge.

Davis has already turned heads with his impressive physicality, boasting a build that appears well-suited for college football. Despite his youth, the freshman has quickly emerged as a standout during fall camp, showing signs that he could contribute significantly in his first season.

247Sports analyst Cody Nagel recently highlighted Davis as one of ten standout players in Florida State’s fall camp who could become key contributors during the upcoming season.

“Kam Davis may not see immediate playing time at Florida State, with several running backs ahead of him on the depth chart,” Nagel noted. “However, that hasn’t slowed down the four-star freshman. Davis has flashed his potential throughout preseason, catching the eye of college football writer Chris Hummer.”

Davis’s combination of size and skill sets him apart. Standing 5-foot-10 and weighing 224 pounds, he possesses a rare blend of power and speed, making him a formidable playmaker. His ability to break tackles, combined with his surprising speed, could lead to some electrifying moments for the Seminoles this season.

“Davis ranked as a Top247 recruit and was the No. 11 running back nationally in the 2024 class,” Nagel continued. “During his high school career at Dougherty in Atlanta, Georgia, he played quarterback and amassed 8,762 yards of total offense and 75 touchdowns. He averaged 8.9 yards per rush.”

With the departure of key players from last year’s roster, Florida State is looking for new talent to step up. The running back room, already deep with players like Lawrance Toafili, Roydell Williams, Caziah Holmes, and Jaylin Lucas, will face stiff competition, but Davis has proven he’s ready to earn his place.

If head coach Mike Norvell continues his tradition of using a multi-back system, as he has in the past, Florida State’s rushing attack could be a key component in wearing down opposing defenses and opening up opportunities for quarterback DJ Uiagalelei and the Seminoles’ receiving corps.
