Breaking: San Antonio Spurs Victor Wembanyama Goes Viral with Epic Comment About New Teammate Who Once Exploded For 50 Points…

As Victor Wembanyama aids Le Bleus in their quest for gold at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, the San Antonio Spurs made headlines on Wednesday by securing a deal with guard Malachi Flynn.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic:

“Free agent guard Malachi Flynn has agreed to a one-year deal with the San Antonio Spurs, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Flynn—who scored a career-high 50 points in April—averaged eight points in 14 minutes per game for the Pistons last season.”

While Flynn may not be a household name, many NBA fans remember his unexpected 50-point performance, making him one of the most surprising scorers in league history. During an April 2023-24 season game against the Atlanta Hawks, Flynn came off the bench and put up 50 points, shooting 18/25 from the field and 5/9 from beyond the arc. Despite his remarkable performance, the Pistons fell to the Hawks, 121-113.

Flynn’s 50-point game etched his name in the record books, making him just the third player in NBA history to score at least 50 points off the bench.

Previously traded from the New York Knicks to the Pistons just before the 2024 NBA trade deadline, Flynn declined a $5.81 million qualifying offer from the Pistons in June before ultimately signing with the Spurs.

Originally a first-round pick by the Toronto Raptors in 2020, Flynn has averaged 5.5 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.9 assists over 213 career games. His addition to the Spurs roster, alongside Wembanyama, promises to bring new dynamics to the team as they look forward to the upcoming season.
