The nation’s No. 5 overall prospect, Koa Peat, is set to visit Duke next month as part of a whirlwind tour of top programs across the country.
According to a report from 247Sports.com’s Brandon Jenkins, Peat, a highly sought-after frontcourt prospect in the class of 2025, has scheduled an official visit to Duke on September 20th. This visit comes as part of a series of trips to major programs, with Peat already confirming official visits to Arkansas (Sept. 14), Baylor (Sept. 27), and Arizona (Oct. 4).
Peat, a 6-foot-8, 235-pound forward, made a name for himself this summer as a key player on the U.S. U-17 national team that won gold at the FIBA U17 World Cup. Following his international success, Peat returned to the Adidas 3SSB summer circuit, where he continued to impress scouts and coaches alike.
With the school year approaching, Peat has indicated that he is ready to focus more intently on the recruiting process. The upcoming visits will play a crucial role in his decision-making as he narrows down his options.
For Duke, landing a talent like Peat would be a significant boost to Jon Scheyer’s rotation, further solidifying the Blue Devils’ status as a top destination for elite prospects. As Peat’s visit to Durham approaches, the excitement continues to build around the possibility of adding one of the nation’s best players to the Blue Devils’ future lineup.
