Duke basketball is set to welcome highly coveted recruit Dwayne Aristode from the Netherlands, who will make an official visit to Durham starting September 20, according to reports from On3’s Joe Tipton and 247Sports. Although Duke basketball head coach Jon Scheyer and his staff have not yet extended an official offer to Aristode, the scheduled visit indicates that an offer may be imminent.
Aristode’s Recruitment and Skills
Dwayne Aristode is a versatile 6-foot-8, 205-pound five-star recruit, known for his top-tier sharpshooting abilities. He ranks No. 18 overall and No. 3 among small forwards on the 247Sports 2025 Composite. Aristode became a notable prospect on Duke’s radar last summer when he joined Brewster Academy (N.H.) from the Netherlands.
Scheduled Visits and Interest
Aristode has frequently mentioned the possibility of visiting Duke and his upcoming visit marks a significant step in his recruitment process. Before visiting Duke, Aristode is set to visit Michigan State on an official trip during the last weekend of August. As of now, Duke and Michigan State are the only schools scheduled to host Aristode during his final prep year.
Previous Visits
As a junior at Brewster Academy, Aristode took official visits to Arizona and Wake Forest. His upcoming visits to Duke and Michigan State suggest these schools are strong contenders for securing the talented recruit’s commitment.
