GM Alex Anthopoulos is banking on several factors to propel the Braves forward. He anticipates increased contributions from All-Stars Sean Murphy and Matt Olson. More crucially, Anthopoulos is counting on improved team health.

This morning, Anthopoulos shared on 92.9 The Game with host Steak Shapiro that Max Fried was scheduled for a bullpen session. Later, during the Brewers game broadcast, he updated that Fried’s session went well and hinted that Fried might start a game against the Marlins this weekend.
The Braves’ postseason hopes hinge on getting healthy. The returns of Fried, Lopez, Harris, and Albies could be game-changers. As Chip Caray would say, their return could be the best trade deadline acquisition ever. Anthopoulos is counting on it.
