The Boston Bruins have made several additions early this offseason, and the team has now announced the jersey numbers for their new players: Riley Tufte, Elias Lindholm, Mark Kastelic, Max Jones, Joonas Korpisalo, and Nikita Zadorov.
Riley Tufte: No. 10
Riley Tufte, who is looking to establish himself in the NHL, will wear No. 10. The 2016 25th overall pick has previously played five career games for the Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche. Twenty-three players have worn No. 10 for the Bruins, including Marty McInnis, Ron Sutter, Barry Pederson, Jean Ratelle, and Rick Smith. A.J. Greer last wore the number in 2023.

Elias Lindholm: No. 28
Elias Lindholm, a key free agent signing, will continue wearing No. 28, a number he has worn throughout his career. The number has been worn by six different players since 2009, including Mark Recchi, Dominic Moore, and Ondrej Kase. Derek Forbort was the most recent player to wear No. 28 for the past three seasons.
Mark Kastelic: No. 47
Mark Kastelic will return to No. 47, which he wore for the first two years of his career before switching to No. 12 with the Ottawa Senators. No. 47 has been worn by 10 players in Bruins history, with Torey Krug being the most notable from 2012-2020. Kastelic’s grandfather, Pat Stapleton, wore No. 4, but that number is synonymous with Bobby Orr.
Max Jones: No. 49
Max Jones will continue wearing No. 49, a number he has worn since his time with the London Knights and Anaheim Ducks. Only seven players have worn No. 49 for the Bruins. Shayne Stevenson first wore it in 1991, and Rich Peverly was the last from 2011-2013.

Joonas Korpisalo: No. 70
Joonas Korpisalo will retain No. 70, a number he has worn throughout his career. Four other players have worn No. 70 in Boston, three of whom were goalies. Matt DelGuidice first wore it in 1991, Tim Thomas in 2003, and Jesper Boqvist last year.
Nikita Zadorov: No. 91
Nikita Zadorov will wear No. 91, the largest number on the Bruins’ roster. Zadorov previously wore No. 16, but that number was retired in honor of Rick Middleton. He chose No. 91 because “it’s an upside down 16.” Marc Savard is the only other player to have worn No. 91 for the Bruins, and Zadorov sought Savard’s permission to take the number, having been coached by him in Calgary.
