“Its Quite Clear”: Insider Shares Shocking Updates as Duke’s Player Reacts to Controversial Decision from Head Coach Jon Scheyer…

Duke basketball head coach Jon Scheyer appears to be focusing significant attention on Braylon Mullins.

On Friday at 6 p.m. ET, as the second evaluation period of July began, Scheyer had numerous options for scouting Duke basketball prospects. He could have attended the prestigious Peach Jam in North Augusta, S.C., or any other notable grassroots event. Instead, the third-year head coach chose the 3SSB All-American Camp in Atlanta as his initial stop.

Scheyer’s decision seems to be a strategic move. According to 247Sports’ Travis Branham, Scheyer was seen near the courts featuring Braylon Mullins, a newly identified target for the Blue Devils.

Mullins, a dynamic sharpshooter from Greenfield-Central School in Indiana, recently soared about 70 spots to No. 23 in the 247Sports 2025 recruiting rankings. He reported receiving an offer from Scheyer and his team on Sunday.

Mullins holds the prestigious distinction of having offers from every major blueblood program. The 6-foot-5, 180-pound four-star athlete has already planned an extensive list of official visits for the first semester of his senior year and is expected to release his official list soon.

Given Scheyer’s apparent determination to secure Mullins’ commitment, his immediate presence at Mullins’ game on Friday night underscores his seriousness in contending for the young star’s services.
