Good News: Patriots Announced the Addition of a Talented Playmaker to Teams’ Roster Ahead of Training Camp…

Patriots rookies reported for training camp on Friday, but two players were not cleared to practice.

New England placed running back Terrell Jennings on the active/physically unable to perform list and linebacker Jontrey Hunter on the active/non-football injury list, according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss and the Boston Herald’s Doug Kyed.

These undrafted free agents count towards the active roster and can join practice at any time as the Patriots begin the process of reducing their roster.

Jennings signed with New England after participating in rookie minicamp on a tryout basis. The Florida A&M product completed his collegiate career with 381 carries for 1,754 yards and 24 touchdowns in 45 games.

Hunter joined the Patriots following the 2024 NFL Draft after six years at Georgia State. The 24-year-old recorded 96 tackles in his final season, earning third-team All-Sun Belt Conference honors. He also received invitations to the Senior Bowl and NFL Scouting Combine. The Florida native finished his collegiate career with 225 tackles, six sacks, and three interceptions.

Rookies encountered a rough start on Friday due to a global Microsoft outage. The full team is set to report to training camp on Wednesday.
