The Toronto Raptors announced on Wednesday that they have signed center Ulrich Chomche (pronounced ULL-rish SHOM-shay) to a two-way contract. As per team policy, financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Chomche, standing at 6-foot-10 and weighing 232 pounds, played 26 games with NBA Academy Africa during the 2023-24 season, where he averaged 8.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 24.3 minutes per game. He previously spent two years (2022-23) playing in the Basketball Africa League.

A native of Baham, Cameroon, Chomche was selected 57th overall by Minnesota in the 2024 NBA Draft. The Raptors acquired his draft rights on July 6 for cash considerations. Born on December 30, 2005, Chomche was the youngest player in the 2024 NBA Draft class.

This signing marks a significant addition to head coach Darko Rajaković’s roster as the team looks to strengthen its lineup for the upcoming season.
