“When I first got there, it felt like home. The whole staff treated me, my mom, and my sister like we belonged there. They really cared for not only me but also my mom and my sister,” Johnson shared, as reported by Chad Johnson of On3 Sports.
Texas A&M’s program made a lasting impression on Johnson, who is ranked as the 30th-best player in Texas and 196th nationally, with significant athletic potential.
“What I like about him is how he carries himself. When he was talking to me, I could tell that he genuinely cared for me. He knows what my goal is in life, to get to the next level. When I go there, he is going to push me to the maximum. That’s what I’m looking for in a coach. I want a coach who is going to give me their all and I am going to give them my all to get to the next level,” Johnson declared.
The commitment of Kelshaun Johnson marks a significant victory for Texas football, promising a bright future as he joins the Longhorns.
