The Tennessee Volunteers have landed a significant commitment from 2025 four-star wide receiver Travis Smith from Atlanta, Georgia.
Travis Smith, a standout at Westlake High School, officially committed to the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday, choosing them over Alabama, Auburn, and Georgia. The Vols led the race heading into his decision week and successfully secured one of their top targets for the 2025 class.
Smith is ranked as the No. 81 prospect in the 2025 class according to the On3 Industry Rankings. During his junior season, he recorded 34 receptions for 587 yards and eight touchdowns against some of the top talent in the country. Smith becomes Tennessee’s third wide receiver commit in the class, joining Joakim Dodson from Baylor School and Radarious Jackson from Sheffield High School.
Smith is the seventeenth commit for the Volunteers in the 2025 recruiting cycle. The Vols still have several top targets on the board and expect decisions from the following prospects in the next month: Toombs County safety Lagonza Hayward, Eastside High School linebacker Christian Gass, and Providence Day School offensive tackle David Sanders Jr.
