Duke is making significant strides in the recruiting landscape with their latest focus on Caleb Holt, one of the top small forward prospects in the class of 2026. Head Coach Jon Scheyer has made it clear that Holt will be a top priority moving forward.
Caleb Holt, a standout from Buckhorn High School in New Market, Alabama, has been turning heads with his exceptional performances. Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 200 pounds, Holt is currently rated as the No. 1 small forward and the No. 3 overall player in his class by 247Sports.com.
Holt’s recruitment has been heating up, especially after his impressive showings on the summer circuit and his gold-medal-winning performance with the U-17 national team at the FIBA U-17 World Cup. This has caught the attention of several top programs. He already holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia Tech, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and others.
With more offers expected to come, blue blood programs like Kentucky, North Carolina, and Duke have been closely monitoring Holt, both at the FIBA event in Turkey and the Adidas 3SSB event in South Carolina.
