The Florida Panthers have bolstered their roster by signing defenseman Adam Boqvist to a one-year contract. The 23-year-old Swede will join his older brother, forward Jesper Boqvist, on the reigning Stanley Cup champions’ team.

Adam Boqvist, who recorded one goal and nine assists in 35 games with the Columbus Blue Jackets during the 2023-24 season, brings significant experience to the Panthers. Selected eighth overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2018 draft, Boqvist has accumulated 85 points (23 goals, 62 assists) in 209 games played with the Blackhawks (2019-21) and Blue Jackets.

Jesper Boqvist, 25, also signed a one-year contract with the Panthers on July 1, reuniting the brothers in Florida. This strategic move adds depth and experience to the Panthers’ defensive lineup, further solidifying their position as strong contenders in the upcoming season
